For anyone who has dreamt and created their ideal nursery, you know what a labor of love it is! My heart explodes when I swing open her door to see that labor of love that perfectly came to fruition. There is nothing sweeter than your precious little girl’s nursery. Although, I’m sure actually having her in it makes it a million times more amazing! Counting down the days until that happens 🙂 Her room is pure magic. I envisioned every aspect of it, dreamt in my own head. No Pinterest boards or #nurseryinspo stalking on social media. Just simply me daydreaming. It was brought to life just how I pictured it. Whimsical, romantic, calming, and nurturing. (Can’t forget girly). I accomplished just that, in my opinion. Hello, blush, neutrals, and pops of pink floating floral wall.
I have to thank my husband, Drew, for never batting an eyelash while creating Baby Butler’s dream nursery. I would order multiple curtains, have him hang them all up so I could compare in her actual space, and then take them down, return some, and repeat. I did the same with rugs, lamps, you name it. He sat in so many gliders with me while I asked which ones felt comfiest to him. We looked at a million cribs and dressers/changing tables that I just didn’t like and we would go on to the next place over and over and over again. He let me show him a million swatches and truly cared (or at least acted like he did). He is a pro at Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn Kids now. We basically bought everything you see from those two dream stores. We had countless nursery nights I will always cherish. I really wanted every single addition to her room to be a team effort of both Drew and I. Not one thing went in her room without both of us being in there together to add it or me asking his honest thoughts. (And Kodi. He even kissed every light bulb before it was screwed into the chandelier. He sniffed every single piece of clothing that was hung, and every piece of furniture. He knows her room is something sweetly special.) It will be the most special time for us that I’ll simply never forget. We did it. The two of us. And I couldn’t be more thankful. We go in there and sit and smile and feel so at ease and happy. It’s our happy haven. And I hope it’s hers too.
Whether you’re looking for some nursery inspo of your own, or just wanting to peek into our little love’s lovely little corner of the world, I hope you love it!
I’m sharing links to lots of our nursery goodies you see pictured, at the end of this post.
