It’s Valentine’s Week! The week of love, admiration, hearts, chocolates, cards, and flowers. I’m not here to talk about how to spoil your valentine, I’m here to talk about how to take care of YOU with 5 simple steps!
Here are 5 things you can always do to center yourself and bring your mood back to a happy place.
1. Tell yourself how lucky you are.
Seriously. Truly just sit for a minute and think about how lucky you are. Do you have your health? Are your family members alive? Do you have the ability to work out?
2. Be grateful.
Simply name one thing you’re grateful for right now. It doesn’t even have to be an obvious one. It can be so minor but make you so happy. Sit in gratitude. Even if you are driving the car frustrated, tell yourself something great.
3. Don’t compare yourself to others.
Why would anyone do this? Don’t. Do you realize the women who live without comparing themselves to others & build each other up instead of “competing” are SO MUCH happier. Help a sista out. Help YOURSELF out.
4. Look up.
One of my favorite things to do. Look up at the sky. You can’t look up and not wander your mind in the best way possible. It’s nothing short of majestic and your mind will get carried away in the best way possible.
5. Buy yourself flowers.
This simple act is sure to leave you smiling.
