I have the best family a girl could ask for.
I woke up at 3:45am, caught a 6am flight out of Phoenix to our home in Atlanta, and thought we were having a normal family dinner that night.
Little did I know, that family gathering was a
SURPRISE OFF THE FIELD LAUNCH PARTY!!!
I seriously was SO overwhelmed with gratitude, love, appreciation, and happiness. (and still am).
I have put so much time, effort, and hard work into this website/blog/platform to make it the best I possibly can. And to see OTF being celebrated?! Me being celebrated?! There are absolutely NO words – – only PURE GRATITUDE and JOY.
I now have a big frame with my logo as the focal point! And every time I look at the framed logo, it makes it feel real. It brings me such excitement, pride, and disbelief all at the same time. It makes this venture I’m on seem so real (which it is), but I don’t know if you’ve ever felt this feeling too – – where you put so much hard work into something and you don’t know if it’s being recognized – – if you are the only person out there who feels it’s real – – if people are taking you seriously. Well y’all – – seeing my logo in a frame – – at a PARTY – – it’s REAL! I am so EXCITED that it’s recognized as being real. I am so EXCITED for the future of OTF. I have such PRIDE in all of my work. And DISBELIEF that all of that work is actually coming to fruition.
HERE’S HOW IT WENT
I walked in the door per usual, and was about to start giving hugs and hellos. Then saw a cookie cake with my OTF logo on it! Then a big frame with my logo being the centerpiece of the table! Then turned and saw #OTF gold balloons! Come on!? Unreal right?!
I welled up with tears and happy cried.
It was a surprise Off the Field launch party. (Typing that makes me want to happy cry all over again.)
My mother-in-law and sister-in-law thought of this beautiful idea and were the lovely hostesses.
They even baked the cookie cake themselves and handwrote my logo on it. It was beyond delicious & for your sake, I asked them for the recipe so you can make it too! (The recipe is at at the end of this blog).
Oh, and not pictured but not forgotten or unappreciated – – my fab father-in-law grilled out for us in a classic afternoon Southern storm!
The #OTF balloons are in my bedroom until they deflate (which hopefully won’t be for a very long time) and the #OTF Party will remain in my heart and mind forever.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
Thank you to my family. Thank you to my followers. Thank you for your love & support. It’s only just the beginning 🙂
Please make sure you shower your loved ones with love, support, and appreciation. You have no clue how much it will touch them 🙂
ok, ok, as promised…
